Southampton Wedding Pianist
Southampton Wedding Pianist Steve Christie, based in Southampton, and available for Wedding Ceremonies in and around the Southampton Area.
I have been a Southampton Wedding Pianist, playing for Wedding Ceremonies for over 20 years, and have a huge repertoire of Classical and Modern Music that you are able to choose for your Wedding Music. I can also learn any piece required (no extra charge) and it doesn’t matter if there is no sheet music available, as I can learn music from a recording very easily.
As a Southampton Wedding Pianist, what can I offer you?
I have played for all of the major venues in and around Southampton who hold civil ceremonies, including Southampton Registry Office, the Art Gallery, and De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel. I can also play Church Organ, and have played all around Southampton for Weddings and other occasions for many years. Provided the Organ is in good working condition, (all of them in Southampton are) I am able to play it. Otherwise, I have a Yamaha Keyboard with fantastic organ sounds.
I can play music on the day which will fit the Bridal Entrance perfectly, so there’s no need to worry about choreographing your walk-in to the second. If the Bridal Party takes it’s time to process in, I will play and can extend any piece of music as I’m playing so it fits. Similarly, if everyone rushes in (nerves sometimes do get the better of you!) I can play to fit, and will come to an appropriate close once everyone has arrived and is in position, so it all looks meticulously rehearsed!
Southampton Art Gallery (see above) is a fantastic venue for a wedding ceremony and drinks reception, and they have a superb black Steinway Grand Piano which is tuned regularly, and they are usually able to move it to either end of the gallery. If this isn’t possible, I can either supply a wireless speaker system (to mike up the piano) and pipe the music to the other end of the gallery, or I can provide a Yamaha digital piano keyboard – all for no extra charge.
If you are having your ceremony at Southampton Registry Office in Bugle Street, you may not have thought about having live music owing to the relatively small space in the venue. However, my keyboard set up is able to fit into the smallest of spaces and the sound I achieve is very close to the sound of a real concert grand, as I use Yamaha digital pianos and high quality BOSE speaker equipment.
See here for my compact keyboard setup information.
The Medieval Merchant’s House in French Street, Southampton is also a great venue for Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions, and where wedding ceremony music is important to you, what could be better than having a real live musician playing music that is tailored for you?
You and your partner could be looking for a piece of film music, or an obscure song which is not available either as sheet music, or even on CD or download. If you can provide me with the film clip, I can work the music out for you.
Bespoke Recordings and Wedding Ceremony Music MP3s
A bespoke piano recording service is also available, and I can record absolutely any piece of music you require using high quality sounds and equipment at Vintage Keys Studio.
A fully PRS licensed digital download of the final wedding pieces is also available to purchase before or after the event. Please contact for more details.
